The South East Michigan Entrepreneurs Association was established in December 2010 as a networking and support group for entrepreneurs and small business owners. SEMEA provides information, education and resources to accelerate your growth and increase your chances for success. Our monthly meetings and events give members an opportunity to network, forge new relationships and get connected! Our association is unlike any other group. We focus on providing the best networking experiences in Southeast Michigan. Come out and experience the difference!
Meetings are held on the fourth Thursday of the month at various locations throughout southeast Michigan. Each month members and guests are treated to a quality networking experience as well as a dynamic expert speaker providing tons of information on how to grow your business and increase profits! Networking starts at 6:30pm. Come as our guest and attend a FREE meeting. Light refreshments provided.
SEMEA holds regular networking events to give members and community leaders an opportunity to make connections and build relationships. Our annual expos and conferences are held throughout the year and are attended by hundreds of entrepreneurs and business leaders throughout Southeast Michigan.

Master Mind Groups
As a part of membership, SEMEA members have an opportunity to participate in master mind groups that meet regularly to support and affirm business and career goals.
ZaLonya Allen PhD, Executive Director
Dr. Allen is CEO of Global Diversity Staffing which specializes in office support staff and IT placements. She is an award winning speaker/author in leadership development. For over ten years Dr.
Allen has delivered presentations to groups throughout the country
including Ford UAW, Detroit Edison, Society for Human Resource
Management and Clemson University. She has earned degrees from the University of Michigan, Wayne State University and North Central University in industrial
relations, sociology and two degrees in psychology. She has served in
numerous leadership positions including board member for such groups as
the National Speakers Association of Michigan, the National Association
for Female Executives and North Oakland County Campfire USA. Dr. Allen
is one of the founding members of the SEMEA and currently serves

Milton Duerod, Real Estate Broker/Investor
As a licensed real estate broker and private real estate investor, Milton has over 20 years of real estate experience. Today he owns and operates his own successful real estate brokerage, Motion Realty, which specializes in short sales along with listing, selling and leasing residential and commercial properties, primarily in Southeast Michigan. In addition to possessing numerous high level real estate designations and certifications, Milton holds a BA in Computer Science and an MBA in Business Administration. He is also active in community service and is a member of many organizations namely, National Association of Realtors, National REO Brokers Association, National Association of Real Estate Brokers, Asian Real Estate Association of America, National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals, National Black MBA Association, West Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce and the Optimist Club of West Bloomfield where he serves as president. Van Allen, ACP Investments
Van Allen is a real estate investor as well as an
award winning motivational speaker and former talk show host. He has
received numerous awards including first place in the District 28 World
Championship of Public Speaking Contest for Toastmasters International.
His signature presentation “Are You a Winner” encourages audiences to
step out of their comfort zone to reach their true potential. He
attended Henry Ford Community College and Wayne State University. He is
a Master NLP Practitioner which allows him to help individuals tap into the
power of the subconscious mind. He is also the founder of Van Allen Productions which specializes in videography. Van is one of the founding member of
Leslie Davis II, New York
Leslie Davis II is a top producing agent with New York Life, the nations oldest and largest mutual company. In 2013 he won the coveted New Organization Agent of the Year Award. He has
been an integral part of the business community in southeast Michigan for the past five years. Having a
passion for working with entrepreneurs, he has helped develop businesses
through the use of his network and resources. His expertise in financial
planning and risk management has helped his clients operate more effectively
and efficiently. As a native Detroiter and former College Football standout, Mr. Davis has
learned the importance of teamwork and the value of coaching, mentoring, and
motivational speaking, which is why he continues to reinvest time in the community. One of his life long lessons is "You
value the things to which you give your Time, Talents and Treasure." Mr.
Davis earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Eastern Michigan

Brandon Marsh, Vertex Solutions Group
Brandon Marsh is a Business Leadership Coach and Speaker who helps business owners achieve peak performance. He has delivered presentations for such groups as Dale Carnegie, Leadership Oakland, Abcott Institute and Skyline Club. His career includes roles at several blue chip companies including Microsoft, IBM and Hewlett Packard. He holds a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan and a MBA in Management and Marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity where he serves as chapter president.

Cindy McCann-Clissold, MBPA Business Development Rep
Cindy McCann- Clissold is a business development representative with the Michigan Business and Professional Association. MBPA is a business trade
association that represents over 20,000 medium to small business
members throughout the State of Michigan. Cindy has been affiliated with the MBPA for three years, the first as a member and then she was hired for her current position. Her job is membership growth, retention and helping members to grow their businesses. Cindy is a "connector." Prior to Cindy's job with the MBPA she worked in sales with a commercial cleaning company as well as in retail management. Cindy is married and has one daughter and four grandchildren.
